Chris Berry's Homepage
I'm a 34 year old software developer, currently working on contract
for PDA Verticals. Before
that, I was with Domino
Printing Sciences, a manufacturer of continuous ink-jet printers;
Pace Micro Technology, making
software for digital TV decoders; Acorn, the long-since demised
computer company, working on an OS that never saw
the light of day; and Psion,
purveyor of fine handheld computers. I'm also one half of Duo Creative.
I recently wrote a page about improving J2ME with the C Pre-Processor.
In September 2004, I wrote a small article describing my reverse-engineering of Adobe Color (.aco) files.
In March 2004, I wrote an article on how to beat SolidBlue Spam Interceptor's authentication CAPTCHA. They reacted pretty quickly and have since improved it.
A little while ago I made a MacOS-esque skin for WinAmp3. I had plans to make one that looks like the Atari ST windowing environment, but decided it was more trouble than it's worth.
Back in my youth, I wrote a bunch of demos for the Atari ST, as part of a crew called The Watchmen. I've also recently started learning to program the Gameboy Advance, and have ported one of our old demos. I'm planning on writing some games for it soon. I've done some mobile phone games too.
One of my email addresses has been joe-jobbed.
I like audioscrobbler. If you fancy getting some idea of the sort of music I listen to, take a look at my user page.
