The UK's Natural History Museum wanted a certificate to accompany private commissions carried out by its replication department. The purpose of the certificate was to authenticate and bring an element of prestige to the works so the design needed an air of sophistication.

The solution was to produce a hand written A5 slip, citing the specimen's Latin and common names and the signature from the Head of Replication.
   Duo chose to include the fossilised bones of the Archaeopteryx as it signified a key discovery in natural history – the link between dinosaurs and birds.
